Grenache : 33 % - Mourvèdre : 33 % - Cinsault : 33 %
TERROIR
Gigondas vines nestle on Trignon little valley hillsides where a microclimate favour vines growth : cool nights, south-west exposure offer them sunsets on the Rhone valley. The nights are cool and airy, which helps slow the transfer of the grapes. The very poor limestone gravel subsoil has the advantage of well draining rainwaters. (River alluvium from mid terraces from Riss ice age)
VINIFICATION
Grapes handpicking and vatting after ginning, when Rosé after 12-24 hours, a 15 days cold vinification (14°), removing must then bottling. No malo done.
TASTING NOTES
Pleasant deep fuschia-colored robe with bright and bluish reflections. Nose is intense with fresh red fruits notes, gooseberry, raspberry and citrus notes. Very round on the palate, a lot of flesh and sweetness, red fruits notes, candies and final great persistance.
SOMMELIER'S ADVICES
This rosé of charactere accompany the whole meal.
Culinary agreements : Little Aïoli of baby squids.
